A longbeard entering the ranks

#1

Greetings, honored members of the Alliance.
My name is Fornbogi Tyrving, and I'm a lvl. 44 dwarven hunter who humbly entreats a place in the Western Alliance. There are two reasons, the first being my headstrong nephew Modsogne, who has fallen in love with the Alliance, and wishes to join. I've got to look after him so he won't get into trouble. The second is that I'm rather beginning to see his point, and this is indeed a glorious assembly of the free peoples. After many years hidden in the shadows of the wood, it seems my nephew has managed to drag me out to give my bow worthier causes than food on the table. I wish to join the Alliance so that I won't have to see my kin grow up into a world of darkness and despair.
I myself grew up in the Iron Hills, and quickly discovered the paths of the hunter to be the right ones for me. Old and gnarled, in a stubby hue, I might not be the swiftest woodsman out there, but the strength with which I draw my bow and the accuracy of which I fire it, has not been diminished by the passing of time.

As for the OOC stuff, I'm a Norwegian Tolkien fanatic, and has been since I was in preschool. I don't see myself as incredibly endowed in terms of gaming abilities, but I'm not useless either; far from it. My main objective in Arda is to experience and relive the wonders from the first time I read the Book and to take part in the life of Arda.
I'd really love to be a part of this kinship, since it appears to be very well organized with an unusually competent staff and pleasant members.
I'm an artistan woodworker at the time, and I'll provide black ash bows, spears and hammers to any member, free of charge, if I'm able to get the thing together. (Not planing on making money on my craft) I'll, of course, also provide first class travels to all destinations known to me.
Child of Mahal but subject of Oromë.
Bones of Stone and Iron, but a mind belonging to the Woods.
Strength of the Earth and wisdom of the Wild.
The Ancient Bow will never falter.

Good luck Fornbogi! I'm sure you will fit in nicely! Your nephew is a great asset and I'm sure you will be too.

Arise, arise, Riders of Théoden!
Fell deeds awake, fire and slaughter!
spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered,
a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!

Aye, welcome to the Alliance uncle. I just hope you'll pass the physical test, so they can let you in...

has been crossed; beer until it has been drunk."

Yes, that can be a tricky one: run up and down Weathertop three times with full campaign pack, shield and double-headed battleax, dodging or otherwise dealing with the troll as you go... Great spectator sport, though!

I reckon he'll shoot the troll in the eyes and then the troll with run down weathertop screaming, then the drawf will dance down weathertop shouting a dwarven chant.

I'd better dance carefully. I'm not exactly a youngling anymore.
That being said; I'm still an excellent dancer. If my pelvis stays intact, you'll be amazed.
