A Rugged bard strolls into the Alliance halls and begins to sing

#1

Of tales new and clear,
One so homely - so near,
Glint of the morning sun,
Shone like a beacon on one,
The bald bonce of Barr the bard from Bree,
Twiddling his harp for all to see,
Never so battered has a bard ever been,
Like the man before you,
All dressed in green!

As a lad, Barr was raised by his mother, a rather acomplished seamstress and his father, a trader of fine gems. The young boy would look at Dwarves in awe whenever his father took him to the mountains and sit for hours listening to his mothers sweet songs as she sewed and stitched fine garments. In his teens Barr rebelled from the nice and happy life he was accustomed and joined a small mining and freelance outfit as a courier, which then got him involved in some tricky situations at the edge of a sword! He would always spice up his stories when he reached his destination, drop a bowl on the ground outside an Inn and relay the heroic stories of some fictitious character via song. Now in his twenties and with a taste for adventure, he accompanies bands of warriors to gather new material and to drink, drink and drink some more!

Yo! I'm James, 20 year old barman from England. Been playing mmo's/rpgs for a long time..hmm love Terry Pratchett books, fantasy in general and aye, beer! I was originally intending to revive my clan of 8 years (The Blades) and try and form a kinship here in LoTRO on Laurelin, however I rather feel I've missed out on the major push for kinships and the dregs are left over, so I have hung up my blades, picked up a harp and here I am. The Western Alliance seems to be what my clan was always about, light roleplay with PvE questing/raiding and just a hint of PvP to spice things up Smile SO here I am, with Barr currently level 22 Minstrel, and Smaxen my level 1 dwarf guardian who will not be touched except for as a mule until barr is atleast level 40

Sounds promising, indeed.

Thank you for the application Smile

I'm sure Garbo, our minstrel officer, will contact you in game.

likewise, you will die;
one I know
that never dies:
the fame of each one dead."

"would look at Dwarves with awe..."

I like this laddie Smile

In fact, this attitude should be a pre-requisite to joining our kin. Actually this should be a Dwarven kin only. Actually Dwarven hunters only kin.*ponder* although who then will cast the green and blue light to stop me failing in battle?

Forget the above - arrows ready and cheeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgeeeee!!!!!!

Arise, arise, Riders of Théoden!
Fell deeds awake, fire and slaughter!
spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered,
a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!
