ÃÂ ÃÂ Starting May 31st the LOTRO European servers will temporarily go down for service migration. After a short period (2-3 days) service will be restored and you can begin playing your existing characters once again. Begin your account migration before the worlds come up by visiting http://transfer.lotro.com and following the easy instructions. After May 31st you will no longer be able to play LOTRO in Europe until this process is complete.

i cannot open the transfer.mylotro.com page . no idea why.

It won't open in Firefox, works in IE though. Maybe whatever browser you're using is also not allowed...

IF I could just get started, I would be unstoppable !!

Me either.
Does this mean we have to wait until the 31st to try to migrate out account. It seems to suggest that you should do it prior to the worlds coming up,

I guess their migration system is going to be inundated on the 1st June.

My guess is this is roughly what's going to happen: CM takes the servers offline on the 31st, and copies the latest data over to Turbine. Only then Turbine can activate their 'migration' page and let you migrate your account data (which does nothing more than read in the CM account data and connects it to a new Turbine account).

The actual migration of server-data (like characters and stuff) will probably happen in all-at-once fashion, just with all accounts inactivated until they're linked to a Turbine account using the migration system.

to keep you all informed, the Lotro EU servers are down now, and will remain down for the next 2-3 days until everything is ready on the US side.

Account transfer is not up YET at the moment, we expect it to open up during the day or at the latest tomorrow midday.

If everyone who has updates can please keep them in this thread, thank you.
