Rotation for Ost Dunhoth raids

#1

We are currently focusing on the Wound and Fear wings at tier 2. So far, we seem to have a reasonable grasp of Wound, but Fear is still very much to learn. I am therefore proposing to implement partial rotation of participants on a weekly basis, rotating every Thursday only, rather than on every single raid. As a result new or less experienced members of the Washday Group can be eased in with Wound, a raid we are more in control of, and can then take a first crack at the Balrog on Thursday, with a second attempt on Fear the following Monday. The point is to keep the same raid makeup (as much as possible) for at least two successive attempts to allow for more intensive experimentation, and also gives rotated players a chance of winning the first armour token drop from Wound.

This means than I will try to keep the Monday group as close as possible to Thursday's. To put it in another way: rotation will effectively take place once a week only, but a spot will effectively guarantee participation in two raids in succession.

NB: If somebody can only make the Monday raids, let me know and we'll try to fit you in regardless.

Having learned tonight that there will be a restriction on sign ups for only one Class role (The most overly subscribed role in the kin) , meaning I will not have a chance to participate atall, I would like to withdraw myself from the raid group.

I wish you all GL.
If by life or death I can save you, I will.

"What's aggro?"
"It's a very complicated, very technical roleplaying expression. Loosely translated, it means 'the healer dies'."

aye kai there is just too many tanks in the kin to implement that policy. (doesn't effect me cause i can't get turned on to the raid atm) just speaking up for the role. If you get circ 4-6 tanks going regularly that can be accomodated on a night by night basis surely.

btw i totally understand where your coming from but some of the guys work nights and raid nights

Mac, just because there are a load of tanks in the kin doesn;t mean that you won't be able to come on your tank at all, I will never ever be able to take my tank with teh washday group ( simply because it;s a warden adn Thar has only his warden 65 ) but the grd's or most of them can switch from raid to raid ( as Kai said Thursdays ).
Be flexible as everyone mate Smile ( plus there is always Skjalar's raid where you can join as grd )

As I understood it there will be two tanks doing Balrog each and every week with no rotation.

Why the tanks have been singled out as the only people who need to have an inkling of what they are doing in that fight is simply beyond me

Whilst I don't mind raiding Balrog in a regular basis (need to get that positioning under control anyway) the guardian position is heavily populated (all (semi-)regular raiders), we should keep the one guard position that we have open for some form of rotation, at least for the guardian mains.

Stay on board Mac  Smile

For whatever it's worth, neither have I - and I've probably killed the LT more times than anybody else in the kin other than Tharelon.

I should have thought that was obvious enough; for the exact same reason that you, Mac, were the exclusive Guardian on Durchest for about three to four months without a break.

However, I'm getting fed up with the complaints about this issue. The Guardian slot on the Balrog is now officially open to whoever signs up first.
