Looking to join TWA.

(This post was last modified: 22 Nov, 10, 00:27 by Jordi.)

Hello everyone! I've just recently returned to the game after a long time away. I've returned to find the guild I was once in.. NFC... gone.  Needless to say it was sad to see. It was a guild full of many good people and I was looking forward to seeing them all. Luckily, I came across two guild mates from the guild I was once in, Arathrandir and Ilyana. They told me I should think about joining TWA. They've spoken highly of your guild and assured me it is a guild worth joining.  I've thought about this the past couple of days, not sure what to do, because at the moment I'm trying to sort out what I need to do, what I've already done, and my bank and packs. (Seriously I don't know what's scarier... the mess in my packs or my bank) But Arathrandir and Ilyana make it hard to say no hehe.

I'm still only level 50( I just returned about 3 days ago) and trying to figure out all the new content. I can level my character to 65 easy enough and I'm not one who begs for help or depends on others to drag me through content so don't think I am wanting to join because I am expecting help.... not at all. I'm wanting to join to find good company and because of Arathrandir and Ilyana. And don't get me wrong... I may not usually seek help but I  find helping people more fun than grinding away at quest.

Anyways, here my application:

1. NAME: rather not post it on the boards.

3. Europe (I know it's not a country but that's all I would rather post)

4. GMT

5.  I've been into online gaming since the first week of UO...that's about 15 or so years I believe. I've done EQ (and most of the expansions), EQ2 (and all of the expansions), WoW (and all of the expansions), SWG (and all of the expansions), DAOC (most of the expansions),  EVE (for a  few weeks), Medieval II Total war, City of Heros and Villains, Warhammer, Neverwinter nights, and LOL (League of Legends).

6. PREVIOUS LOTRO EXPERIENCE: I started the first day LOTRO came out. It was a lifetime subscription but had to stop in December that year.  It was then LOTRO banned certain IPs in certain countries because of farmers. At the time I was teaching English in China and all of Asia was banned. I'm not Chinese and even showed them copies of my passport and other documents but they said all of Asia was banned. They could not make exceptions for anyone.

7. HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER OF OTHER KINSHIPS: NFC... I came back and it was gone =( I miss them.

8. YOUR MAIN CHARACTER: Jordi, hunter, single, likes walks under the full moon when she's not killing orcs or hunting down wargs =D. She has a warriors heart which makes her ready to jump to any challenge when called... in other words... ask for help and I'll be there. Her equipment is all blues and purples and right for her level which is 50. It's also a VIP account.

9. YOUR ALTS, IF ANY: I have a few low levels but nothing I would seriously play at the moment. I want to focus on my main.

10. HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT TWA? Arathrandir and Ilyana. They were both kind enough to welcome me and give me helpful information on a lot of things. The Rp with them has been awesome too!

11. DO YOU KNOW ANY CURRENT TWA MEMBERS? Arathrandir and Ilyana

12. ABOUT YOURSELF: I'm an English teacher, single, can speak Italian very well but I'm not Italian. Can speak a little Chinese as well. I enjoy meeting people, traveling, and pizza. Pizza is the food of the goddesses.

13. ABOUT YOUR MAIN: I don't usually like posting OOC information about my character because it can easily be mistakenly used in game. But I will give a little information. Hopefully someone would ask Jordi and we could RP it out which would be a lot more fun. I do request anyone who uses my character in a story to ask me first so I can review what is written so my character is not written into something she's not. I do the same for anyone I write about Smile

Anyways.... She was second in command of NFC. Lord Urien asked for her hand in marriage to produce their people an heir. She agreed but only out of a sense of duty for the people she loved. She didn't love the reigning lord but she did love her people. She served them and helped them as they needed.

Though there had been a wedding, there had been no wedding night. Soon after she had been taken prisoner by the orcs to lure out NFC.. NFC came to her aid but she was wounded and taken to Rivendell to heal along with several others who were close to death. It was while she was there she heard of Urien sporting with other women while she laid on the edge of death. In her heart she loved her people very much but not for Urien. She could not continue on with a man who had so little concern for herself or her people. They laid on the edge of death.. he laid with other women. She divorced him.

When she left Rivendell to find her people and serve them once more as their second in command a band of men had been waiting for her. They turned her yet again over to the orcs. A few weeks after, her rescue came at the hand of a mixed group of elves, dwarves, men and hobbits, all friends she had fought beside in the fields of battle. When they had taken her to safety she soon learned they had found the band of men and arrested them. Finding evidence of what they had done in the form of a note they knew where to find her. This note had been signed by Lord Urien himself. His anger and embarrassment at her divorce had been great and he couldn't afford her return to prove him to be something other than what he pretended to be. So he told their people she was dead before she had even divorced him.

Now she has returned.....

She is more at home on the fields of battle or helping those she served. She is quick to draw her bow in aid to all races. Within her beats the heart of a warrior; her duty to the people and the war come first. She can be blunt and speaks  openly her mind and what she feels to be true expecting no less from those she calls friend. She's not perfect and makes mistakes, like being captured and given to orcs.. twice! She still feels shame for that.

Her parents are still alive and also fighting on the fields of battle where needed. In fact her parents met in battle... at the time he was a captain; her a hunter among many. She stepped in and saved his life when his horse had fallen and he became stuck beneath. After fighting and defeating the orc and warg that tried to take his life and then helping him free they fought side by side the entire day and night. After that they were always together. This newly formed friendship turned into a more special bond as the weeks and months went by. Eventually they were married and had a son and a daughter. Their son is MIA at the moment. No body has been found and no word as to what has happened to him. He, like his father and mother, fought the horde with a nobel and strong heart of a warrior, just like his parents. They all hope to one day see him fight beside them in battle again but if he never returns, they know he died a warriors death and are proud of him.

14. I AM INTERESTED IN RAIDING: I love raiding and not sure what I enjoy more. Raiding, PVP or RP. I can be hardcore in all three. In every game I've done some hardcore raiding staying up till late hours to accomplish our goals which to be honest I'd rather not do if can be avoided. Staying up till 3 or 4 in the morning 4 days a week can be harsh!

15. I AM INTERESTED IN FELLOWSHIP QUESTS: I enjoy them

16. I AM INTERESTED IN RP & RP EVENTS: I usually make RP and RP events when ever I can. Usually I make events for people when they are lacking rp or need to flesh out their characters. I don't depend on others to make rp for me because rp can be found where ever you go in game.  Tavern RP is really fun, but not bar fly. It's a good tool to use to help plots along but you won't find my characters backside firmly planted on the chair emoting and waiting for rp to come along.

I do not like RP with elite rpers. I suppose that kind of makes me elite too but I like to rp with anyone and everyone. Even those new to RP. I remember my first days of RP back in the beginning days of UO. I had never done anything like that before and oh boy the mistakes I made hehehe. I still make mistakes. I don't think people should be shunned and ignored for that. And everyone has their own Rp style.

I keep IC and OOC seperate and keep say for RP only so not to disturb those who are Rping.

I also Rp respectfully OOC. I respect the other player has probably put a lot into their character and may not wish to join in certain rp. Especially if it involves losing limbs, hair, facial features, or life.

And that's everything I guess. Feel free to contact me at any time. And if you would like to RP out an Interview that would be awesome!

Danger Ranger....Coming soon.... to put an arrow in a warg's arse near you!

It's great having you back in the game Jordi ... it was you and Urien that first introduced me to rp and the NFC and I havent looked back since Smile

Hi and welcome to our forum Jordi!

We've indeed gathered quite a bunch of old-NFC people here and they all turned out to be very nice people, so I'm sure we'll be happy to add you to the list. As for seeking help, some of us sort of like being dragged into an old instance or two to help out someone levelling up. It's a nice excuse to revisit some old content once in a while, so don't be shy!

One of us officers will try to contact you (ICly or not... depending on who and their mood Wink ) in game sometime soon.

Welcome. I remember you from my time with NFC, where I believe you were in charge of scouts; you took me on a training tour of Fornost when I was still a very green hunter...

Good to see you with us.

Welcome Jordi, think I joined NFC just as you got blocked out in China.

Believe me when I say everything that could have been done to keep NFC alive had been done, but it's pretty hard to keep a kin running when there's four people online during peak hours. Arath did everything that could have been done (and did a wonderful job at it) and the move to TWA was the right one in my opinion (even though it took me a bit longer to realise it Tongue).

There is no try, there is only hobbits, hobbits everywhere!

And I took even longer .. it was sad being the last one to turn out the light. Am I the only ex-NFCer who has trudged past the For Sale sign outside the old kin house, walked up through the now barren yard, and reminisced inside, almost hearing the echoes of times past in the dust filled interior?  Wink
