I have re-installed the game and no longer get the hash error since it no longer needs to be patched. Laurelin is still down of course so can't login yet.

Just on lunch and started trying to download and got the 'hash code' error.

Any recommendations on whether I should leave it as is for now and try again when back from work in 5 hours or re-install as per Bele, Kai, etc.?

Try the new client download, if it goes really fast you could re-install. Otherwise I wouldn't do any harsh things yet like uninstalling but instead wait for CM updates.

for everyone that has the hash file error I recommend you start downloading the full client version now, ymmv but it only took me and bel around 1,5 hours.
