Hmm I've made it as far as the login page like Thar shows in his image but I just get errors all the time at that point. I suppose that makes sense if they were just preloaded updates.

Yes, get a 403 error code because the servers are not up yet

Ok I just uninstalled the preview client and I am still getting that error message.

Didn't they say that uninstalling the preview client messes up your regular install?

i have my login ready to go , but was away for a while, does that mean the downloading completed behind my back?

Started downloading full client. Pando seems to have picked up speed since the Preview at least, getting a download speed of around 2.8 Mbps. Should be done in about an hour and a half.
