Hmm... Experiencing some oddities.

The 'quick modify' button is working now, but it doesn't take you to the quick modify like it did before. Instead, it's working just as the regular edit button does. It used to open up a neat window right in the post where you could quickly fix typos and what not, if you wanted. Also, composing replies feel a bit more clonky than it used to. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the entire box feels... larger. Maybe it's just the font that's increased in size, or changed or something. Same goes for the overall look on the website, the way the topics' titles are displayed under 'Recent Topics', for example. Also, the smilies also appear bigger. No big deal, just thought I'd mention it. (PS: I still miss quick reply.)

Is the UK/London at GMT+1 now? I thought they were always GMT +/- 0. The UK has always been one hour behind me (GMT + 1), but now they're two hours behind? Sounds odd, but I assume some kind of weird daylight savings adjustment is in progress, and things will be back to normal in a while?

Edit: Yes, according to Time and Date, London is one hour behind Stockholm (which shares time zone with the rest of central Europe, such as Belgium), and not two hours behind. London/UK is GMT (no adjustment), and central Europe should be GMT + 1, with Greece kicking in at GMT + 2. At the time of writing, it's 8:50 in London, 9:50 in Stockholm, and 10:50 in Athens, for example. The forum seems to think it's 7:50 in London. Sad

The Quick Modify basically is the same as the Quick Reply and is working as intended at the moment (ie. not working). The new forum has a completely new Quick Reply box and I'm too lazy to adjust it to our template. Will be looked at as Soon™ as I look at the template. Font size might indeed be slightly bigger... But mostly you'll probably notice that the margins between the side boxes and the center are slightly smaller.

London is always one hour behind on Stockholm, but London is not always GMT Tongue. Right now even those across the Channel have summer time (BST) which is GMT+1. We're currently on summer time as well (CEST) which puts us at GMT+2 instead of GMT+1 (CET). The default forum time follows the server clock and that runs GMT/UTC, completely ignoring summer time ('switching' time tends to confuse computers way too much and make a mess of things). Not that it matters: Just go to your profile and select Europe/Stockholm and you don't have to worry about anything...

Edit: Just set the default timezone to Europe/London and to my surprise it actually seems to work without messing up all offsets... Should fix some of the confusion.

Thank you for the reply, Ingaras. Enlightenment has been achieved.  :love1:

I knew that time zones get all confusing when dealing with summer time and daylight savings. As long as everyone has their time displaying correctly, there should be no problem.

Just stumbled over one minor thing: When you create an event, you are not automatically checked for updates on the corresponding forum topic. Don't know about the behaviour before the update, but would be a nice thing to have.

Got another idea, and of even less importance Big Grin : if you sign up for an event, set the candidate on auto-notify for the forum topic. Rationale: if I want to come to that event, I should be kept up to speed with tactics' discussions and other things the group may want to coordinate beforehand. And you can always unnotify yourself.

I know I'm annoying, but here's something more:

The already super-excellent form to check the radiance armour pieces for a character could be made even more aweseome if there was one of them mouse-over spots to display the stats of that armour piece (ie. like this: [armour]Rochben[/armour]). I know the names for the pieces differ for each class, but the character editor knows about the class already. It's a bit of a write and investigation, yes.

As I've said a while back already, I'm very willing to help: I could provide a patch/diff if you would be willing to let me install a local development version of the event manager - not the forum, as that would contain archived and potentially "classified" posts  that I have no interest in Wink

I'd say Inga deserves his own statue outside the kinship hall, for all his diligent work over the years. I hope you know how appreciated you are, at least, Inga.  :love1:
