Taldric applying for membership

#1

You see a bald man entering the Prancing Pony. An axe on his left side, a sword on his right. But the most notable thing is the huge bow over his shoulder. He's clearly a hunter. You can hear the conversation he's having:

[i]"Hello Mr. Butterbur! How are you today?"
[i]"Well, Taldric! Great to see you again! It's been a while since you visited the Prancing Pony. What have you been up to?"
[i]"I've been traveling to The Shire for a couple of days. Had to do some errands there. And it's always nice walking around the countryside there. I just love them little hobbit-holes!"
Barliman Butterbur bursts out a laugh: "Haha! I can see you walking around one, bumping your head into everything! Haha!"
"Well, laugh all you can, but as soon as I have enough money, I'll buy myself a nice hobbit-house. Maybe the holes are too small for me, but their houses are nice and comfy! But I didn't come here to chat about housing. Can you help me with some information on The Western Alliance?

Barliman frowns... "What do you want to know about them? And why, if I may ask..."
Taldric points at his backpack. [color=green]"Well, on my travels, I found a lot of useful things for crafting, but I can't use any of them myself. I heard the Western Alliance is a kinship that's recruiting people to help each other out. Maybe I can help them a bit. And, of course, I want to fight the powers of the Dark Lord...

Taldric sighs deeply... "Do you know how hard it is to find people nowadays? Just joining in a fight against the forces of the Eye... Many people don't seem to care...
Taldric shakes his head... [color=green]"I want to join a group of people who know what they're doing! I want to help people, and I could use some help myself too now and then.

Barliman Butterbur smiles and turns around. He points at a man at a table in the corner of the inn. "You see that man over there Taldric? The one with the brown hair and the short beard? That's Methrendomir... He's a Captain of Gondor, and he's the leader of the Western Alliance. Go ahead and give it a shot. I know they're still recruiting."
You see the hunter, who you now know is named Taldric, looking your way. [i]"Thanks, Mr. Butterbur... Can I have two pints of your best brew?"

Barliman walks behind the counter and fetches 2 foaming pints. "Here you go Taldric, and good luck! I'll see you around soon anyway I hope."
Taldric pays and takes the pints from Barliman. You see him walking towards you, looking slightly shy...
[color=green]"Mr. Methrendomir I presume?" He says. After you nod slightley, he continues: [color=green]"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I'm only asking a minute of your time. I don't know how to address you, I never met a Captian of Gondor before... You might have overheard the conversation I just had with Mr. Butterbur over there... In case you didn't, I'm Taldric. I'm a hunter, as you might have noticed. And I'm looking for a kinship. I've heard many good things about the Western Alliance, and hereby would like to apply as a new recruit!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OOC: Taldric is my main character. He's a Human Hunter, level 16 at the moment. I've got characters in all different classes, but found out I like the hunter the best right now, so I'm mainly playing Taldric. He's an Explorer, so he's got lots of resources for other crafters. Until now, I've been trying to sell them in the Auction House, but I feel bad, since I'd rather help other people with it.
I'm a 24-year old guy from the Netherlands, and I've been playing LotRo since it launched. I stopped playing after 2 months because I didn't have much time. I bought lifetime membership 2 months ago, and started playing again.
I'm looking for a stable kinship now, after being in a kinship that was disbanded after one day, and being in an inactive one for 2 weeks now. I've seen people walking around with "The Western Alliance" under their names, but haven't spoken to any yet. I'm willing to meet in the Prancing Pony, so please contact me.

Sincerely,
Thom (Taldric)

Gimli: Oh come on, we can take 'em.  Aragorn: It's a long way. Gimli: Toss me. Aragorn: What? Gimli: I cannot jump the distance, you'll have to toss me.
[pauses, looks up at Aragorn] Gimli: Don't tell the elf. Aragorn: Not a word.

Greetings, Taldric. Good application; contact me in-game over the next couple of days, and I'll keep an eye out for you as well.
By the way, please ignore the plague of bunnies; it's a temporary phenomenon. I've called in an exterminator, and hopefully we will be rid of them shortly.
