Twins of Barad Guldur downed (EM)

The Twins of Barad Guldur (second boss) were taken down in easy mode by a kinship raid tonight, on the third attempt. Congratulations to all the participants!

Good job all, first 2 attempts was on hard mode, where there big issue is after 200k on bosses - handling all the eye's. Each time you get an eye and drop off a pool near a wall, you also get a 1200-2000 damage burst.

Is it better to concentrate on have a good health on all and make a slow controlled dps. It was 3 good learning rounds we had, next step is to handle the pools and learn to pay attention where they are dropped. To many deaths makes it too hard. So a fair amount of healers and powersupply (LM) isn't bad at all.

Another issue is the yellow eye, that makes a area/group knock back. Totally deadly in the end where there are pools everywhere. My suggestion is to tank Morgulur (eh, I guess his name if ya wonderWink) in a corner where all dps's have their backs against the wall. (does he resets if we bring him to the hall where we come from?, else we can spank him there).
I dont think I will be able to join in for the Lieutenant this evening *sniff* - but good luck and hope you bring him down.

If anybody is positioned in a corner or up tightly up against a wall, they will sooner or later die in puddles of their own making. Particularly where a melee group is concerned, against the wall could end up being a suicidal proposition. It's probably only possible for the hunter tanking Cargaraf, and even there I was beginning to run out of space in which to move...

Yeah, need room to maneuver, and simply run to the walls with pools.
One bright thing, was that when I loooked around in the room after downing Fire Twin, 60-80% of pools were up against the walls, which was nice.

For other RK's taking my place, I can say "Do not put healing rock under yourself", they target them, and you can't see the eye on them, which was how I lost 4000 health in 2 secs.
Sad I will be skipping next two runs Sad

Yeah, good thinking, not in the corner, but at least position melee and tanks so they have boss between themselves and the pool colection Wink (thinking of the knockback eye)

If people get the puddles to the corners/walls, it won't be a problem Smile

This fight is hard for one reason, and one reason only, and that's the puddles. Learn to manage those, and it's not hard.
Sure, healers are pushed for keeping people up, LM's for pwr/corruption, tanks for managing agro, hunter for tanking Shadow.
But all that is down to people mastering their class (I can improve a great deal on my RK).
When that is taken care of, what remains are two bosses, who drop pools of death on people, if managed right, it's to be considered a 2k hit once in a while.
