Re: 50 Shades of Grey for Geeks - Threclo - 18 Jul, 12

Cool.

Gray can also be represented in rgb as rgb(x,y,z) where x=y=z and it's element of integer numbers from 1-255.

rgb(0,0,0) = black
rgb(256,256,256) = white

In HSL(Hue/Saturation/Lightness) it can be represented as hsl(0 degrees, 0%, x %), so only changing lightnes percentage will yield different shade of gray. Same as before: 100% lightness is white and 0% lightness is black.

In CMYK color space things get a bit different and not that easy.  Althou I preffer working in CMYK, especially when doing graphic design for large billboards and such.

Sigh all I know is that my other half is on the second and I have told her to read it more slowly so I can enjoy the book  8)

#696969 is my favourite shade.

(Btw, I highly recommend all blokes give a copy of this book to their wives / partners - seems to have an interesting effect on women.)
