New raiding program - Kairos - 12 Nov, 10
For the foreseeableÃÂ future, the main kinship raiding activity will continue to concentrate on Barad Guldur, but we will also be taking on the new Helegrod end-raid on Thorog once a week. I have just posted two new polls which will run for four days from tonight. One is to see whether there is in principle a majority in favour of changing from our current main raiding nights of Monday and Thursday, and the other is to determine which of three nights (Saturday, Sunday or Wednesday) members would like to have the new Helegrod raid.
It would have been tidier to run them one after another rather than simultaneously, but a lot of members are anxious to get started on Thorog, so I thought it best to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. If the results of the two polls do end up being in conflict with one another, I'll post a third one to finalise the schedule.
Please vote only if you have a direct interest in the results of one or both of the polls (i.e., you already raid regularly, or plan to).

The result of the first poll was an overwhelming majority in favour of retaining Mondays and Thursdays as the main kinship raid nights, so that remains unchanged. There was a majority, though a much less conclusive one, in favour of Wednesdays for a weekly Thorog raid, with the weekend vote being split evenly between Saturdays and Sundays (Wed. 6, Sat. & Sun. 4 each). In general, weekend dates have never been very popular with the kinship. We will probably have enough people with the necessary raid locks to try Thorog for the first time on the 24th.

First kinship raid on Thorog will be take place on Wednesday 1 December. At the moment it looks as though Wednesdays are the probably the best bet, but we'll see how we go...
