SoM patch notes - Kairos - 01 Dec, 09 Official patch notes for SoM now available from Lorebook, here: http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Release_Notes_Volume_2_Siege_of_Mirkwood_Launch_Official. Interesting reading, no surprises. Re: SoM patch notes - Thoronthor - 01 Dec, 09 good Re: SoM patch notes - Jackdir - 01 Dec, 09 Are they too long to cut and paste for the "blocked by websense" ppl Re: SoM patch notes - Kindo - 01 Dec, 09 "The Lore-master trait "The Wild and Ward" now allows Lore-masters to place both "Sign of the Wild: Protection" and "Sign of the Wild: Rage" on their companions at the same time. Trait and Skill descriptions have been updated." Teh awesomes! Oh, man is Bernard going to kick ass now! "Damage while Our Fates Entwined is active will no longer interrupt Rousing Words." I'm glad they are improving the healing capabilities of the Rune-keeper... hah! This is so sweet... I can now keep the -10% damage buff up even through Rousing Words. "There are new mounts for those who are instance deed completionists." Hah! Coolness. What's causing you problems with opening the link? Re: SoM patch notes - Thoronthor - 01 Dec, 09 Quote:A number of high level rare cloaks (and two uncommon clocks) have had their appearances changed as they were using appearances reserved for PvP ranked cloaks.Oh man, so glad I didnt waste 20 gold on that cloak nowÃÂ :vh1: Re: SoM patch notes - Ingaras - 01 Dec, 09 Some heads-up: Quote:Mirkwood Better make sure you complete those deeds before the patch . (I'm seriously wondering how the heck they missed that though... kind of like with the book 8 HMs not working at first...) Quote:Warg-pens of Dol Guldur Quote:Fornost They managed to break Fornost even more without touching it ?!?!?! Quote:Dark Delvings Not that anyone is going there anyway... Quote:Burglar Quote:Mail Lol... so how do I use the scrollbar then? Wow thanks for the list of heads up things to keep in mind... that's quite a list.. Re: SoM patch notes - Nalorin - 01 Dec, 09 Quote:Guardians may no longer retain the benefits/bonuses of shields while in Overpower stance. When Overpower is activated, your shield is automatically disarmed until Overpower is deactivated. Bullsh*t. But.... Quote:With the change to Overpower to disallow the use of shields, existing Legendary weapons with Overpower-dependent legacies have become less useful. Guardian trainers throughout Middle-earth have acquired powerful scrolls that will allow Guardians to replace these Overpower dependent legacies with new legacies. :vh1: :vh1: :vh1:ÃÂ That made my day!ÃÂ Quote:# Shield Wall will now overwrite and toggle off Protection if applied to the same Fellowship member. There a GRD who uses [skill]Shield Wall[/skill] at all? The limited range makes it so not useful: the rare occasion when someone in my FS would really have needed my Shield Wall, I was at the other side of the world. So I'm really not bothered there. Quote:Fixed a bug that was allowing the Corruption removal effect on the Guardian's "Improved Sting" skill to continuously overwrite itself on subsequent attacks and preventing it from actually removing a corruption after 10 seconds. Now you will be prevented from applying a new corruption removal effect until the previous one has expired. Nice one! And there was me wondering why my (lame) corruption removal was even more lame (ie. I thought the target kept resisting it). I'm pleased. Re: SoM patch notes - Maurvaethil - 01 Dec, 09 Champions don't use shields when they're in fervour - why would a Guardian in OP want to use a shield? You shouldn't be taking direct damage, anyways? Anyways, I think OP Guardians are cool. I feel sad that Wardens don't have a secondary roll like that to fill. Off-healer? hahah Re: SoM patch notes - Nalorin - 01 Dec, 09 (01 Dec, 09, 18:09)Maurvaethil link Wrote: Champions don't use shields when they're in fervour - why would a Guardian in OP want to use a shield? You shouldn't be taking direct damage, anyways? Yeah, I'm not saying I ever missed my shield in OP. You can't block anyway - but maybe if you had a super-awesome shield that gives +1000 morale and +100 Vitality, that would be tough. ÃÂ |
