Application: Tevra - Tevra - 06 May, 08

Hi! This a recruitment application for Tevra (Elven Champion, level 50)

----------------------------

In Character Story:

Tevra is an elf of Lindon, where she studied long in Mithlond before taking to the road to learn of other peoples of Arda and study their writings & histories. Recently she came to Eriador seeking her missing cousin, the bard Kaloras. When the rest of her house sailed to the west, Tevra refused, seeking instead to discover his fate and further explore these wondrous lands.

This morning she was summoned from the study of the Last Homely House to report to Celeblas, trainer of the Elven Champions of Imladris and given a quest:

"We have received disturbing reports from trusted friends known as 'The Western Alliance' Tevra" instructed Celebras. "You are to carry this letter of thanks for me to a certain house near the Men's town of Bree..."  She paused, her face grave.  "They had also asked if any fighters can be sent to aid them in battling the foe in the lands of men, but alas our numbers are so few that I can only spare you. Take this second note, which vouches for your character and pledges your aid."

Tevra wondered why she had been chosen but the wiser elf continued as if she had asked the question aloud  "Long travels have made you comfortable with other races and scant comforts. Obey the orders of this company's leaders as if they were my own but send word us when safe to do so, that we know you live still"

Tevra lightly rubbed the roughened skin on her sword-hand as was her habit when thinking. She had taken advantage of her time in haven of Imladris to improve her martial skills as Arda seemed increasingly dangerous... yet despite the known and unknown dangers ahead she felt joy at the prospect of travel again.

"Aa' menealle nauva calen ar' malta" (May your ways be green and golden) she murmured as she knelt before Celebras and accepted both letters.

"Quel fara" (Good hunting) her trainer replied.

OOC information:

Hullo, I seek a friendly and mature raiding kinship on Laurlin and my search has led me here to TWA.  I have played Lotro since the fall festival (Nov 07). I play 2 characters Tevra, Elven champion (level 50) and my secondary -  Jezne, Elven Guardian (Level 50).

Now the decent weather has (finally) arrived in the UK I play less but still probably 20+ hours a week.

I have been in one kinship previously (Butterbur and Beyond) which I left on good terms after being an officer for 4 months. Berethelion (the current kin leader) would speak kindly of me if asked. I don't know anyone yet in TWA, with the exception of Finmir who is a good friend.

If you group with me you will notice that I'm fond of using chat to save typing and sound like a typical older female player.  I have a daft sense of humor and a terrible sense of direction.  Also, I'm one of those players who like spading things out trying new tactics and hearing about other classes' abilities & tactics so I can improve my own.  I really enjoy working together in a hard fight well fought - win or lose. I've played one other online game (Everquest) for 4 years,  I tend to find a game I like and stick with it Smile

----------------------------

Contact info:

I will probably be online as Jezne at the moment as I'm finishing her epic books &  virtue traits (and not least because I can mine ore with her)  but if that becomes tedious I'll be playing Tevra and exploring more of Forochel, as Tevra's own virtue deeds / book 13 epic quests are done.

That's all I can think of - see you around Smile

Tevra

Re: Application: Tevra - Talzaroff - 06 May, 08

Has no-one picked up the line yet? Hmm... maybe Monti hasn't seen this application yet Wink

Quote: ...and sound like a typical older female player...

Well... if you sound like a typical older female player, I guess you must be at least typical, or older, or female, or any possible combination of the three. We're all pretty typical, our ages range widely from Tosco to *iosmos, but the amout of females in the Western Alliance is wayyy too low in my humble opinion

Soooooo... I wish you a very warm welcome on the forums and the best of luck with your application!  :bunny1:
