First of all, warmest congratulations to everyone who worked on  this. An unmitigated success, and by far and away the most impressive guild/kinship forum I've ever seen.

A couple of suggestions for the "GAMES" section, if they aren't too difficult to implement at this stage:
1. Can we include those very nice graphic banners running along the top of each game page?
2. How about dividing each game page horizontally into two sections; the top one can be for information about the game, including a description, review, tactics etc., and the bottom one devoted to the game-specific forum. That way the raw information will always be easily available, rather than lost among the forum conversations.

And could we please also have a page for The Secret World? I know only very few of us play the game atm, but we might have more in future, and I would also like to recruit some of the people I play with into the kinship - inviting them to see the forum would be clincher!

Easily done, and done it is. Changed TSW from a child-board to a full fledged board of its own in the Games Forum (unless there are any objections).
As for dividing game pages horizontally, that might be a bit tricky. We could create a simpleportal block for each board but I think the easier solution is to create a sticky on each game board with all the relevant info. In fact I think that should become a priority.

Perhaps sub-menus under each game that jump to the general games information, strategies, builds and so on? It would also be good to be able to jump to a filtered members list for each game... Smile

Re: Fresh layout - Arohtar - 02 Apr, 14

When hovering over the "Forum" tab the box which appears is excessively large with a blank area extending to the right.

Also, would it be possible to move the sidebar upwards on the page until it is level with main content area. At the moment, it's between 1-2 cm below which irks the perfectionist in me for some reason. Anyone else feel the same?

Brilliant overall, however.

Well don't forget the event manager when fixed will go there. Alternatively might be a great place to put a logo, in that right top hand corner.

Sidebar still not working on mobile in other news.

I second Arohtar on alignment.

Does anyone else see the menu bar as having a transparent extension on the right hand (logout) side?

yeah I see it too, it's very tiny though, didn't notice until you said it.

They're there, under the Members tab.

Uhm, it's not supposed to... what browser and version are you using?

Shhh! It even gets bigger if you've got a bigger browser screen. It's because each tab takes up 16.66% of the screen width... and that gives a rounding error.

I'm seeing it with the most modern versions of both Chrome and IE. I've miserably failed to take a screenshot...  :-[

A solution would be to make the menu bar 90% of screen width, then each tab is 15% and the rounding error disappears.  Also the menu bar is less obtrusive.  Or remove the logout button, which is not a menu item.  Wink

Re: Fresh layout - Eledhin - 03 Apr, 14

I use Chrome and get the Forum drop-down size issue too.

Interesting thought to put the Logout elsewhere - it doesn't really need to be so prominent. Perhaps with the 'Hello User'?
Instead the menu could do with an Information tab to link useful stuff about the kinship, recruitment etc. What do people think?

Re: Fresh layout - Kairos - 03 Apr, 14

A small detail: If you are looking at the member list for ESO (and presumably other games) and add or change something to it, when you are done you return to the LOTRO member list, not the one you started from.
