If we were to lose Thar as main tank on an ongoing basis, the fight would become even more impossible. I said, above, that in view of complaints I would throw the Guardian slot open to anybody who wants it, even though I suspect that will mean our struggling with the fight till Christmas. If we throw both tank slots open, then you can change that to next Easter, or till hell freezes over... Should anything like that happen, I think we must take on board the possibility that most of the people now raiding would sooner or letter say "sod this for a game of soldiers" and stop attending. [/quote] Kinda like what happened in BG? the raid which took us a year to finish WITH the same two active tanks? During which time we only had two-three active tanks in the kin. So I cannot accept this as a valid reason for your decision. I have managed to adjust my work pattern so I can attend on a Thursday night only to be informed that I will not be required to raid untill further notice. Can you atleast understand my point of view? Anyways enough QQ outa me. See ye in Isengard. Re: Rotation for Ost Dunhoth raids - Kairos - 22 Jun, 11 I'm getting tired of being the inevitable scapegoat for this issue. I will ask the council to decide, as soon as possible, how it wants to handle the question and will abide by their decision, whatever it may be and however it impacts on the effectiveness of kinship raiding. First of all, there are no restrictions for tanks on Thursdays, the post you necroed was from April, since then we have changed the second raid day to Tuesday, gotten wound down and gotten Disease Challenge mode down. This is when we were still attempting fear wing on Thursdays, they have since moved exclusively to Tuesdays. The restrictions we currently enforce are for the Balrog only, and it is not strictly for Guardians, it goes for every class, the big difference being that other classes are not present in such abundant quantity and quality like the Guardians currently are. Restrictions don't mean much if you struggle to find your 2nd healer or RK. Thar is our Main exploration tank for now, he oversees all others. The reason he is that is because he has attended almost every single raid in OD and the vast majority of raids in BG, if anyone feels he does not deserve that please go ahead and tell me why....right...didn't think so. So in short, rotation for Thursdays (even Thar if necessary), restrictions for Tuesdays within reason. If the Guards absolutely insist, I think myself and kai can live with a rotation between the Guards for the Balrog with the understanding that all Guards stay current on the tactics and the fight. This means no buggering off for 4 weeks and then expecting to get a spot. But Thar's spot on Tuesday is not up for discussion, unless the council overrides me, and I sincerely doubt anyone wants to fight me on this. (no mood today for nonsense so any response to this post had better be calm and measured) Re: Rotation for Ost Dunhoth raids - Maconabo - 23 Jun, 11 *In a calm and measured voice" Whatevah. |
