Grats , mate. I still have not completed that set.

For whatever it's worth, neither have I - and I've probably killed the LT more times than anybody else in the kin other than Tharelon.

You should have come along on Saturday, where we actually had to *force* people to roll on the shoulders. Tongue I think the person that got them, got them by default.

Ekhm. I suppose there are othere ppl here also Kai Wink
Anyway I must say I uderstand Kai's decision. It's really hard to change all the ppl all the time. To crack the content u must stay in shape. To stay in shape u must practise. To practice u must participate each week. Hard life :/

It's understandable, yet also understandable not everyone likes it. Taking the same tanks each week also means all other tanks can't go and don't get any practice, which means chances of getting in gets less as time progresses.

Why not have a compromise of 4-6 dedicated and interchangable tanks. It may take a little longer to master the instances but you would have needed reserve tanks anyway so the minimum that need training up is 4.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. Rotating four Guardians means each would get a practice run one week in every four; but as we saw with the LT, and it's even more the case here, even a two-week break  away from the fight in the exploration stage translates into a huge drop in performance.

Problem Jack is compromise. Tanks are happy, or other 10 persons are happy :/

I see where K is coming from, the raids need people that are well drilled, I discovered on Monday when I helped out with LT that I was far from up to speed 1. with the fight 2. with raid mentality.  A bit like match fitness  :ough1:.

I have come to the conclusion that I'm basically not cut out for raiding anymore.  :-[

Ooh, we should give you a crash course raiding!

Think Jack meant 2 pairs of 'tanks' Kairos, with any combination of Warden/Guardian. So they'd have a go every other week.

Re: Rotation for Ost Dunhoth raids - Jackdir - 22 Jun, 11

Yes thats what I meant. Or they could go every week but only once.

For better or for worse, Tharelon is at present the main tank for this fight; he is the one who knows both the positioning and the switching best, who controls the pace and who can provide the necessary guidance to new or out-of-practice second tanks. If we were to lose Thar as main tank on an ongoing basis, the fight would become even more impossible. I said, above, that in view of complaints I would throw the Guardian slot open to anybody who wants it, even though I suspect that will mean our struggling with the fight till Christmas. If we throw both tank slots open, then you can change that to next Easter, or till hell freezes over...

Should anything like that happen, I think we must take on board the possibility that most of the people now raiding would sooner or letter say "sod this for a game of soldiers" and stop attending.
