Sadly that is not the case as I know that Tianuwen spoke to several of the officers who were online at the same time I was, but they all refused to even speak to me. Because essentially it's more than their jobs worth. And that I would have to wait for them. Note they didn't say this to me. No, this had to be relayed through my friend.

I'm sure that you Kin works fantastically and that you all have a lot of good times, but that remarkable level of red tape just doesn't entice me. That's what I do at work. I don't want to do it in my free time.

I hope you all enjoy yourselves in the game! Looking forward to the expansion!

I am 110% positive that nobody refused to speak to you.
However it seems you are no longer interested in joining anymore, wich is sad to hear.
Good luck out there and have fun.

I must say, I do find this rather hard to believe.  Members and officers of the Western Alliance are of the highest calibre, and if anyone actually said to you explicitely that they will not speak to you, I and Thorothor would like to hear about it so we can take appropriate action.  I suspect what may have happened is that they were AFK or something and did not see the /tells.

I understand your concern about red tape, but it is precisely this red tape that keeps the quality of the kinship members up.  I know that I would never join a kinship that just accepted just anyone off the streets.

Having said that, I understand you're a real-life friend of a current kinship member?  In that special case you do get an automatic invite, so really an officer shoudl invite you on the spot, once they've had a chat.

Certainly a misunderstanding has happened somewhere along the line.
